Our interdisciplinary board of directors team is working on designing high-impact strategies for engagement to contribute in elevating Dark SKy Land’s corridor rural culture and local economy.
Located in western Central New Mexico high desert, on one of the darkest and wildest regions in the Northern Hemisphere, Dark Sky Land consists of a large network of highly creative people that vary from astrophysicists to ranchers, artists, educators, native people.

In 2025 we began an annual partnership with the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, to produce the ‘Dark Sky Gathering Event’ (April 2025 -May 15, 16, 17 2026) in Pie Town, NM.
Other collaborators include: The Xerxes Society for Invertebrates, ABQ Wildlive Federation, DarkSky New Mexico Chapter, . The Magdalena Ridge Observatory, (MRO), the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (VLA). The Magdalena Astronomical Society, Warehouse 1-10 Art Space. The Santa Fe Stargazers, Santa Fe Railyard, Arts District.
Dark Sky Land is a council member of the Dark Sky New Mexico Chapter since 2023, and a member of the Magdalena Astronomical Society which produces the prestigious Annual ‘Enchanted Skies Star Party’ since 2021.
